Environmental and Social Responsibility Policy
At Greenwood Grange we are committed to working in a sustainable way. Since taking ownership of Greenwood Grange in 2023, we have:
Installed 42 solar panels on the Courtyard roof to help power the cottages and hot tubs.
Switched from plastic toiletries bottles to refillable Faith in Nature products.
Our Housekeeping team now use environmentally friendly Miniml cleaning products.
Installed smart heating in 6 of our cottages.
Made it easier for guests to recycle by adding separate recyling bins in each cottage.
We use local suppliers for our milk, tea, biscuits and dog treats.
Logs for the log burners come from our own sustainably managed Woodland less than a mile from the cottages.
We comply with the requirements of environmental legislation and approved codes of practice
We have 2 EV chargers for guests to use. You’ll need to download the Project EV Pro App before use.
We continuously seek to improve our environmental and social performance
We reduce pollution, emissions and waste
We reduce the use of water, energy and other resources
We raise awareness, encourage participation and train employees in sustainable business practices
We expect similar environmental standards from all our suppliers and contractors
We assist customers to use products and services in an environmentally sensitive way
We have minimised our risks associated with social and environmental issues
We have joined the Green Tourism Business Scheme as an indicator of our sustainable practices.
